Description: Considered a "must play" course in the Midwest, Golf Digest Magazine ranks Aldeen as the best municipal course in the state of Illinois and gives the Club 4 1/2 stars in its "Places to Play Guide", alongside courses such as Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass and Spyglass Hill in Pebble Beach. And Golf Magazine ranks Aldeen as #38 in its "Thrifty 50" list of the fifty best U.S. golf courses for $50 or less--one of only two with that designation in Illinois. Site of the 2001 Illinois Men's State Amateur Golf Tournament and the 2004 Illinois Women's State Amateur Golf Tournament, Aldeen features five sets of tees, with water hazards looming on 12 of 18 holes. Expertly manicured bent grass tees, greens, and fairways throughout. Par 72. The Practice Center offers 75 grass tee stations, two short game areas, two practice bunkers, and a 14,000 sq. ft. putting green.
In 2007, the Practice Centre was totally redone. it includes a huge "off-the-grass" (no mats) driving range with numerous greens and bunkers plus rangefinders to help the golfer determine distance and several chipping and putting greens.
