Free Transportation Connects Downtown Events
Rockford Mass Transit District offers free trolley rides every week.

ROCKFORD, IL – Take advantage of RMTD’s free trolley service that runs on Fridays from 3:30-11:30 p.m. to connect downtown events and venues. Park at the Museum Campus or several other lots and hop on and off. This Friday, August 4, 2017 the Rockford City Market continues! Catch a ride to Shop the Blocks, Friday Night Flix and even the Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens for the Bruce Munro: LIGHT exhibit. All these activities make it a jam-packed afternoon!
The market is open every Friday till September 29 rain or shine. The hours of the market are 3:30 – 8:30 p.m. before Labor Day, and 3:30 – 7:30 p.m. after Labor Day.

Winnebago-Boone County Farm Bureau will be offering a free activity for the kids while teaching about the farm bureau

The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau will be on-site promoting the Stroll on State and looking for volunteers. Come sign up to a be a part of this great holiday community event!
Arts Council Booth
Rockford Art Guild will be featuring their members artwork and hand decorated tote bags. Rockford Art Guild is an arts organization for area artists to promote, nurture and provide opportunities to exhibit their work. Membership is open to artists of all levels and to those non-artists with an appreciation for the arts. RAG meets every month except at the Mendelssohn Club, 406 North Main St., Rockford, Illinois, at 6:30pm on the first Tuesday of the month

Rockford City Market takes place every Friday from May 19 through September 29 along Water Street between State and Jefferson Streets in downtown Rockford. The market runs from 3:30 – 8:30 p.m. before Labor Day and 3:30 – 7:30 p.m. after Labor Day. Rockford City Market was founded and is managed by the Rock River Development Partnership and operates with infrastructure support from the City of Rockford and marketing from the Rockford Area Convention & Visitor's Bureau.
