National Trappers Association to Host 58th Annual Convention in the Rockford Region
This convention is expected to generate $224,665 in the region

Rockford, IL – The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to welcome the Illinois Trappers Association and the National Trappers Association for the 58th annual National Trappers Association Convention held in the Rockford region for the first time. This convention will take place at the Winnebago County Fairgrounds located at 500 West First Street in Pecatonica, July 27-29 with a Presidents Association reception held at the Hoffman House July 26 beginning at 6:00 p.m.


This five-day convention is expected to draw approximately 5,000 attendees who are visiting from across the Midwest and even as far as Texas, Pennsylvania, Maine and Alaska. The estimated economic impact of the convention is nearly $224,665 and more than 2,500 room nights are anticipated to accommodate these visitors in various hotels throughout the region. Camping also will be available on the fairgrounds. A complete schedule of events with a list of registration times and activities is attached.


“Our region is known for having many incredible venues perfect for hosting a variety of activities and events. We are very excited to welcome the National Trappers Association here for an unbeatable experience at the Winnebago County Fairgrounds,” said Lindsay Arellano, RACVB director of sales and servicing. “It is with great pleasure that we welcome this group to our region and we hope after this year they will be encouraged to come back again.”
