Ready for Stroll on State?
Calling all Vendors, Performers, Parade Participants and Volunteers!

Rockford, IL - It’s just under 75 days until downtown Rockford turns into a Winter Wonderland for the 7th annual Stroll on State, presented by Illinois Bank & Trust, taking place on Saturday, November 30, 2019. The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB) has opened its application period for the next Rockford Christmas tree, vendors, performers, parade participants and volunteers.
Performers: If you are someone who loves music and enjoys performing live on stage then we encourage you to fill out our online application to be considered for Stroll on State this year. We have a total of three stages, each of which feature a variety of live performances throughout the event. Application due Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
Vendors and Parade Participants: Applications are now being accepted for vendors interested in setting up shop at Stroll on State or groups who would like to add to the magic and enter their holiday float or bring a marching band to be in the Stroll on State parade. Food, retail and parade participant applications and deposits are due Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
Volunteers: Santa’s Workshop is now open for the season every Tuesday night from 6 – 9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at 310 South Winnebago Street, Rockford, IL 61102. Volunteers are needed September 17 - Saturday, November 30.
City of Rockford Christmas Tree Submissions: We are seeking out the next City of Rockford Christmas Tree to be on display at the event this year. Please provide a photo and submit application by Monday, October 15, 2019.
We are looking for trees that are at least:
- 50’ tall
- Blue Spruce
- Full Trees
Dasher Dash Run Sign-up: The Dasher Dash 5k is a holiday themed race through the historic parts of downtown Rockford, including 4 bridge crossings, Haight and Ethnic Villages, and the lovely grounds of Tinker Swiss Cottage. Once runners cross the finish line on Grove Street, they will receive specially
designed finishers medal, hot chocolate, and yummy Christmas cookies. Registration is now open. The deadline to sign-up is November 26, 2019. Participant must register by November 17 to guarantee a t-shirt.
