Full Merry & Bright performance schedule set
November 27, 2015
ROCKFORD, IL - The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce MercyRockford Health System as the presenting sponsor of Rockford River Lights, helping to make River Lights a gift that keeps on giving during the Merry & Bright season and beyond in downtown Rockford.
River Lights will debut at Stroll on State presented by Illinois Bank & Trust on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. After Stroll on State, the lights will illuminate each night from Sunday, Nov. 29 - Sunday, Jan. 2 with nightly shows set to music. The River Lights shows and experience are free.
"River Lights will illuminate downtown Rockford's riverbanks in a way the community hasn't experienced before - a laser light show choreographed to music and set against the backdrop of the riverfront and our downtown cityscape," said John Groh, RACVB president/CEO. "River Lights will take your breath away."
Set along the east and west banks of the Rock River between the State and Jefferson Street bridges, River Lights is a synchronized light show that will last 15 minutes per show. Each River Lights show is different throughout the month, providing a new experience each time. In addition to the light shows each night, River Lights will be illuminated throughout the evening. The River Lights shows are choreographed and designed by Luxe Productions of Rockford.
The River Lights experience is designed to be viewed both from afar as well as up close. Residents and visitors will be invited to walk along the Esplanade on the west bank of the river and the Millennium Fountain path on the east side, between the State and Jefferson Street bridges.
