Randy Finch, Star of the Food Network show Ice Brigade to Create Dramatic Ice Sculptures at Stroll on State, November 30

For Immediate Release
November 26, 2013

ROCKFORD, IL - Randy Finch, the "IceGuru," and star of the Food Network show Ice Brigade (foodnetwork.com/ice-brigade), has been added to the Stroll on State festivities taking place November 30 in downtown Rockford. Finch and a team of renegade ice artists will create extraordinary interactive ice sculptures during the new holiday event.

The Ice Brigade has been working together for many years. Led by Finch, they design and execute nearly anything out of ice: from full service bars, logos for corporate gatherings, food & beverage displays, art, and holiday sculptures to large interactive projects featuring a pool table, bowling lanes, a fireplace and more. Rather than implementing traditional carving techniques, they prefer unconventional tools that produce unique and over-the-top effects.

"Randy and the Ice Brigade are amazing entertainers with boisterous personalities. This team of ice sculpting experts will leave us with a one-of-a-kind masterpiece to enjoy, not to mention cool memories," John Groh, president/CEO of the Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.

This team has appeared on the Food Network, the Today Show, Access Hollywood Live, CBS News, CNN, Ripley's Believe it or Not, and more.

"Our goal is to change the way you look at ice. We want you to enjoy watching us mold a simple ice block into something outrageous. It's definitely just as much about the experience as the final product," stated Finch, star of the Ice Brigade.
