Summer Fun for Kids at Rockford City Market - Food and Activities at the Market Focuses on Kids

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 12, 2018

ROCKFORD, IL – Now that school is out and kids are on summer break, Rockford City Market is the perfect place to spend a summer night with the whole family! Kids can enjoy the various free children’s activities offered at the market every week. This week at the market, kids will get the chance to create their very own paper lanterns or have their face painted! Each week, a different set of organizations is at the market offering activities, so kids can enjoy something new each week.

There are plenty of vendors that also offer kid-friendly food and snacks. Kids can enjoy the unique hotdogs from one of this year’s new vendors, Downtown Fancy Franks, or some delicious French fries from Vintage @ 501. For a snack, kids go crazy over the corn on the cob (or in a cup!) from Lulu’s Roasted Corn, and nothing is better on a hot day than some ice cream from Hey Brothers Ice Cream & Waffle Cones. No matter what, kids of all ages will be able to enjoy something at Rockford City Market with their families!
