Get ready to immerse yourself in tons of art and entertainment at the CRE8IV Music and Arts Festival happening all weekend long May 31-June 2! We’re talking a drone show, an amazing line up of live music on two stages, a live mermaid, free art activities, sidewalk chalk, delicious food + beverages, supporting local and more. This is going to be a memorable time for everyone in downtown Rockford and we can’t wait to celebrate with you. The event is FREE to attend and will include a variety of activities, performances and interactive attractions at no cost. Food, beverages and other items sold at vendor or local shops and restaurants are available for cost.

Food, Beverage + Shopping Vendors

Food trucks, vendors, and local businesses will be available all weekend long selling delicious food, refreshing beverages, and other fun goodies for purchase.

*CRE8IV hosted bars are credit card only.

The event is located within the River District’s ‘Entertainment District’ - an open container policy. Eventgoers (21+) can take their alcoholic beverage along with them outdoors + staying within the boundaries. Mention you would like to take your beverage on-the-go and participating businesses will put it in a designated cup. One beverage per person.

Parking & Shuttles

RMTD will provide a Trolley shuttle from the following nine locations. Parking availability near the event venue will be limited during festival hours. We recommend using the free shuttle service provided and utilize alternative parking lots.

The Trolley runs on a loop will be at each stop approximately every 25 minutes.  The daily schedule is as follows:
Friday: 3 p.m. - 10:22 p.m.
Saturday: 12 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m.  – 6 p.m.

Pro Tip:

We recommend you plan your personalized itinerary in advance and arrive early to secure parking and enjoy all activities, events and performances without any rush.

Bathrooms are located at the Rockford City Market facility, along wall north of the art activities tent, along Northern Illinois Optical wall near Madison and at the 1st St. vendor lot.

It will be a memorable night in Rockford as we launch Rockford's first Drone Show on Saturday, June 1, 9:45 PM! Eyes to the skies as more than 150 drones will light up the night sky with a mesmerizing display of technology and artistry like never before! This historic event promises to be a dazzling spectacle for attendees of all ages!


There will be incredible performances and fun things to do throughout the entire weekend. On the stages there will be live music covering all different genres, there will also be in-store demonstrations, live body painting each day, and a chance to meet Mermaid Ophelia.   • Maraca Painting: Shake things up with your own hand-painted maracas.
  • Sand Art: Create colorful sand masterpieces.
  • Hat Decorating: Design and decorate your very own hat.
  • Sun Catchers: Craft beautiful sun catchers that sparkle in the light.
  • Origami: Master the art of paper folding with origami creations.

Plus, there's a special kids' table packed with coloring books and crayons to keep the little ones entertained. Inside Juju Rey's painters can try free canvas painting and visit with Mermaid Ophelia.

Visitors and residents can also add to the community with chalk art taking place in the former Capri alleyway.

A Busy Weekend in Downtown Rockford!

Rockford’s first official Pride Parade begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday and will travel through downtown Rockford. The theme for the parade is Celebrate, Remember, Unite!

Parade Route: The main parade route is on State Street in downtown Rockford and begins at Charles Street, marching west. The route crosses the Rock River over the State Street bridge. After crossing the river and continuing a few blocks, the Parade turns north on Main Street and ends at Park Avenue (Beattie Park). 

Shop Local:
There will be lots of opportunities to stop by various local businesses throughout the entire weekend. Rockford City Market will also be taking place on Friday evening. This is not only a great time to have fun, but support local area businesses too!
