Lisa Frost is in our office today painting our windows in preparation of tomorrow's Downtown Holiday event (sponsored by RACVB and the River District). It is amazing to watch the windows come to life.
When she started, I thought, "this is going to take them forever," but it is amazing how quickly it is coming together! So talented.
A Downtown Holiday is tomorrow from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the State and Water Street parking ramp (where the Rockford City Market is held). You will find some of the City Market vendors, as well as live holiday music, face painting, and a chance to visit with Santa. The tree will be lit at 5:15pm.
Downtown businesses are decorating their windows competing for best dressed! You'll have to come downtown tomorrow to check them all out.
The mural Lisa is painting on our windows features snowmen painted in the likeness of each staff member. I'm pretty sure this one is me. Check out the hair! Yep, definitely me. I love it! You'll have to stop by and see if you can figure out the rest!
