One of the main events we put on at the RACVB is our annual Paint the Down(town) Green event to help raise money for our Forest City Beautiful initiative. A couple weeks ago was actually only the second time we've had the event, but each year it gets better and better!
This year's theme was "urban garden," and you could definitely feel that theme as soon as you walked through the door! The event was held in the former Rockford Morning Star building downtown, which made the event even more unique with the ornate features of the main room's ceiling and the utilization of the former bank's offices and back rooms.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the event! With your help, we can continue to beautify downtown and make it a destination not only for our residents, but for visitors as well! If you missed the event this year, don't worry! We'll be putting it on again next year :) And in the mean time, take a look at these photos from the event!
