AARC at Booker invites you to join in the celebration of 100 years of Booker Washington Community Center tradition and services. The guest speaker is the eldest male descendant of the Honorable Booker T. Washington, Marshall Washington Cabiness-Abuwi. He will talk about Washington's legacy and still-current vision.
Mr. Abuwi retired from the armed forces after a 30 year career. He currently teaches at Augusta University. He is an author of numerous books and short stories. He is the pastor for the Islamic Congregation at Fort Gordon, president of the National Hills Lions Club, an Eagle Scout and chaplain of Upsilon Gamma Gamma Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
