Experience the 12 days before Christmas at the earliest settlement site in WInnebago County. Travel with reenactors back to a time when Christmas was celebrated with small gifts and kind gestures as a time of sharing and benevolence. There will be hot cider and cookies, and an ornament-making activity for children.

This event is part of the Rockton Christmas Walk weekend.

Macktown Living History Education Center; Macktown Forest Preserve - 2221 Freeport Rd., Rockton, IL 61072 - From I-90, exit at IL-173/West Lane Rd. Go west on IL-173, which becomes Ralston Rd. Continue to IL-2/N. Main St. Turn right onto N. Main St. 4.3 miles. Turn left onto N. Main Rd. Stay straight to go onto N. Main St./Wagon Wheel Rd. Turn left onto Freeport Rd. /IL-75.
