FREE NATURE PROGRAM SESSIONS CONTINUE AT ATWOOD PARK-- Rockford Park District's Atwood Center invites all ages to experience In the Outdoors presented by Rock River Disposal, a series of free in-person activities held select Saturdays year-round, rain or shine, at 334-acre Seth B. Atwood Park, 2685 New Milford School Rd., Rockford, IL. Bring the entire family for a few hours of fun experiencing and learning about nature and aspects of this scenic park through the variety of two-hour outdoor programs. July program information:

July 20, 2024, 1:00-3:00 pm   Weekend Warrior - Learn the skills of archery and tomahawk throwing, and become a weekend warrior! Participants must be at least five years old for archery, and seven years old for tomahawks.

      Pre-registration for each In the Outdoors session is highly recommended and appreciated, and is available at https://atwoodpark.org/programs, where current session schedules and topics are also posted, or at 815-966-8747. Participants should arrive at the north entrance to the park, and meet at the Atwood Center. This series is one of many free family-friendly activities offered by the Rockford Park District for the community to enjoy.
