Valerie Lefevre, who has been making baskets for 25+ years, will lead you through the ins and outs, overs and unders of basket weaving to create a round basket approximately 8 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall with dyed reed accents.
Come and join Valerie, bringing with you the following: sharp scissors, small thin(1/8”) screwdriver, needle-nose pliers and a flexible cloth tape measure. Klehm will provide pencils, 12” rulers, spray bottles, and the clothespins. No prior experience necessary. There will be a break for lunch, please bring a sack lunch. Class limit is 8. After crossing the Rock River, turn left on Church St., IL 2. Follow IL 2, which will join S. Main St. to the Arboretum on the right at Clifton Ave. From the south and west: follow U.S. Bypass 20 to S. Main (IL 2); go north on S. Main to the Arboretum on the left at Clifton.
