These specialized hunters search for food perched on a dead tree, utility wire, telephone pole, fence post, roadway sign, or in our backyard – often without notice. As the stealth bombers of the natural world, they are highly successful at their craft. With keen eyesight and excellent hearing, spotting prey a football field away is no problem. Join us to learn about the most common birds of prey found in Northern Illinois!
