The Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center and the Rockford Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are pleased to present the Brigham Young University-Idaho Sinfonietta. Although admission is free and is not reserved seating, we ask that you register for a ticket so that you can verify there will be a seat available.
Under the direction of Dr. Robert Tueller, the Brigham Young University-Idaho Sinfonietta is comprised of 38 accomplished orchestral musicians from all parts of the United States. These members are selected through a competitive audition process and represent some of the finest musicians at BYU-Idaho. Each player brings many years of experience to the ensemble and adheres to a demanding rehearsal schedule.
Designed to provide a near "professional" experience, students prepare and perform advanced repertoire from the 17th through the 20th centuries. BYU-Idaho's Sinfonietta delivers musical excellence that touches and inspires all audiences.
Directions: Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center - 406 N. Main St., Rockford, IL 61103 - From I-90 and U.S. Business 20 (E. State St.), west on Business 20 to downtown Rockford, where it will become Jefferson St., one-way westbound. Turn right on IL 2, Wyman St., immediately after crossing the Rock River. After curving left, turn right on N. Main St. Mendelssohn Hall is on the northwest corner of S. Main St. and Park St.
