Budding Artists is an event that showcases young artists, supports them and teaches them about philanthropy. It is a fundraiser that provides a unique opportunity for the selected artists from 10 high schools (Auburn, Boylan Catholic, Christian Life High School, East, Guilford, Jefferson, Keith Country Day School, Rockford Christian High School, Rockford Lutheran and Roosevelt) to showcase their creative spirit and earn money for their original work.
50% of the sale of each art piece sold during the live auction is given to the student artist. As a participant in this event they are also eligible to apply for an education scholarship. Three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. Each school's art department receives $250 to use as needed.
