Calling all kids - are you ready to get dirty? Join Rockford Park District’s Nicholas Conservatory for a free celebration of International Mud Day on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Started in 2008, International Mud Day is celebrated by children all over the world as a way to connect with nature through the earth. The event will be held outdoors on the grounds of the Conservatory, and will include muddy activities, games, educational experiences, and more! Registration is not required; dress for mess – you will get muddy! (A change of clothes for the ride home is suggested.)
Directions: Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens - 1354 N. 2nd St., Rockford, IL 61107 - From I-90: Exit at U.S. 20 Business (E. State St.) and follow Business 20 into Rockford. Turn right on IL 251 and follow it north to the entrance to the Conservatory on the west side of the street. --- From the south: Exit I-39 west on U.S. 20 Bypass to IL 251 (11th St.) Follow IL 251 through town to the entrance to the Conservatory on the west side of the street.
