103 years ago, the soldiers of the Western Front in the Great War called unofficial ceasefires during the week of Christmas. Visitors will receive a special holiday tour of the decorated trenches and hear excerpts from authentic letters of soldiers experiencing Christmas in the trenches. Watch a narrated re-enactment of a battle and the ceasefire, sing carols with the soldiers, sip hot chocolate, see real WWI artifacts, and even play football as they did over 100 years ago.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT IS DUE by December 6. Call 815 397-9112 or visit our website. This event will be held rain or shine out of doors. Please dress for the weather.
