Event Details
Summer is right around the corner, grab your camping gear and spend a few days with your kids at Rock Cut state park. Over the course of 2 days, you and your children can participate in different, engaging, fun activities such as kayaking, hiking, yoga, water, and outdoor safety workshops, a fire-starting workshop, and a nature-related scavenger hunt. Guests will have access to kayaks all weekends, life jackets are available and will be sanitized after each use, but we encourage you to bring your own if you have them.
Guests will be required to make their own camping reservations. This can be accomplished by visiting the Illinois Campground Reservation website. We will be camping in the Hickory Hills section. If you have an RV you can book a site in the RV section of the park.
We respectfully request that children who are attending be between the age of 7, (or turn 7 years old in 2021) and 14 and must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
Meals
The following meals will be provided throughout the weekend. If you have specific dietary concerns we encourage you to bring food to supplement what we are providing. The meals we provide may contain wheat, dairy, gluten, and nuts. Although our cookware will be thoroughly cleaned, the utensils and cooking surfaces we will be using have the potential to come into contact with wheat, dairy, or nuts.
We will also have bottled water, apple juice, and soda available.
All True North Expeditions staff have passed a food handlers course.
