Garden Explorers: Puppet Play Along

Garden Explorers is a program designed for children ages 3-5 years old, but all ages are welcome. Children and their guardian(s) will learn something about nature and then have a chance to explore the Garden after the program. Garden Explorers typically lasts one hour and guests are encouraged to arrive at 8:45am to reserve a seat. Storytime books are selected and provided by Rockford Public Library.

Thursday, June 29 - Puppet Play Along
Laura Doherty, a Chicago favorite in the family music scene, will perform breezy folk-pop tunes with her puppet friends: Jazzasaurus, Pinky the Fish and Domingo the Flamingo.  This interactive concert will have kids dancing and clapping along to Laura's catchy tunes!

Anderson Japanese Gardens - 318 Spring Creek Rd., Rockford, IL 61107 - From I-90 and E. State St. (U.S. Business 20): Go west on Business 20 to IL 251 (N. 2nd St.). Turn right (north) on IL 251 to Spring Creek Rd. Exit on Spring Creek Rd. and move to left lane to turn left into gardens.
