The Friends of Canine Corners Dog Parks invite the public to enjoy outdoor fun with their dogs at a free “Howl-o-Ween Pawty” benefit at Rockford Park District’s Canine Corners Dog Parks Searls location. Among the event's activities will be a Rockford Park District police K9 demonstration at noon, dog-friendly vendor booths, a costume contest, plus raffles, food, and prizes.
The event is open to the public; however, if entering the off-leash area, all patrons and their dogs must abide by the rules of the dog park (i.e., proof of current rabies vaccines, no puppies younger than six months of age, etc.); for details of policies and regulations, visit www.rockfordparkdistrict.org/caninecorners or call 815-987-8800, where information is also available for purchasing dog park season membership tags and one-day admission passes.
All proceeds from the October 6 event will go toward supporting the Park District’s three Canine Corners Dog Parks; the other two locations are at Olson Park in Loves Park, IL, and at Elliot Park in Rockford, IL.
The Friends of Canine Corners is a group of volunteers who contribute time and energy to Rockford Park District's dog parks for maintenance, governance, general operation, and etiquette education. For information about the Friends group, follow on Facebook at Canine Corners - Rockford Park District.
