FREE NATURE PROGRAM SESSIONS CONTINUE AT ATWOOD PARK-- Rockford Park District's Atwood Center invites all ages to experience In the Outdoors presented by Rock River Disposal, a series of free in-person activities held select Saturdays through January 15, 2022, rain or shine, at 334-acre Seth B. Atwood Park, 2685 New Milford School Rd., Rockford, IL. Bring the entire family for a few hours of fun experiencing and learning about nature and aspects of the park through the variety of two-hour outdoor programs. The October/November 2021 sessions are scheduled as follows:
October 16, 2021 5-7 pm Tree Trunk or Treat - Families looking for something spooky and sweet to do can visit Seth B. Atwood Park to show off their costumes, get some candy, and learn a thing or two! A short hike with stops along the way will also be included.
November 20, 2021 12-2 pm Leafy Masterpieces - Art and nature enthusiasts can learn how leaves can be used to make beautiful pieces of art, and take a short hike to collect leaves and other bits of nature to make a collage, craft, or other creation to express appreciation for the environment.

This series is one of many free family-friendly activities offered by the Rockford Park District for the community to enjoy.
