“Liberators of the Holocaust” will be presented Sunday, April 28th at the Command Post Restaurant. Stories from W.W. II veterans who liberated Buchenwald and Dachau concentration camps will be shared by Shirland Superintendent Dr. John David Ulferts, author of Always Remember - W.W. II Through Veterans’ Eyes. The book tells the history of W.W. II through the eyes of 140 W.W. II veterans, including 20 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients, that Dr. Ulferts corresponded with during the 1990s.
Brunch will be served at 2 pm followed by the presentation. A book signing will occur following the presentation. The Command Post Restaurant and Camp Grant Museum is located in one of the original buildings of Camp Grant.
