Overview
Additional Information

Visitors have opportunities to learn about life between 1890-1910 by engaging with costumed History Interpreters sharing fascinating stories about the past.

At ten of the village buildings, a variety of different people, lifestyles and cultures at the turn-of-the 20th Century are explored. Learn how much life has changed and also stayed relatively the same over the duration of 100+ years.

The pace of the exploration will be up to the visitor. They may start anytime between 10am and 4pm, although to see it all will likely take a minimum of two hours... so don't show up too late!

Examples of stations:

►  Stop by the village hospital to learn about Rockford's first doctors and how they treated the various illnesses in the community.

►  Visit the Fire Station or the Police Station to learn about how Rockford's first public servants served and protected their neighbors.

► Go back to school with a stop at the Old Stone Schoolhouse, where visitors see the learning environment of the early 20th Century as they are led through a brief lesson and play schoolyard games.
