Locktoberfest at Rockford Park District’s Lockwood Park, 5201 Safford Road, Rockford, has something to get your entire family in the spirit of the season! Co-sponsored by Rasmussen College, 13WREX, and 95.3 The BULL, Locktoberfest begins October 1, 2016, and continues every Saturday and Sunday in October through October 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Locktoberfest will also be open when school is out on Columbus Day Monday, October 10, 2016, with added special activities on that day only. Check out Lockwood’s new activities, themed weekends, and special areas within the park.

Locktoberfest will have a variety of low-fee activities as well as free activities and entertainment for kids and adults to enjoy. Lockwood Park provides a country-type experience just minutes from downtown Rockford.

The mission of Lockwood Park is to help people enjoy life through their connection to animals. The park programs provide a variety of experiences and learning opportunities to promote healthy, positive interactions between people and animals. Lockwood Park offers 15 miles of scenic trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. All programs and activities are weather-dependent and subject to change.
