CREATE TAKE-HOME NATURE PROJECTS AT NICHOLAS CONSERVATORY --Rockford Park District’s Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens offers unique and fun year-round “TO GrOw” classes with nature-themed projects for ages five and up to create in person at the Conservatory, and take home; adults are welcome, too!
The Saturday morning sessions currently scheduled for 2021 are: June 19 - Mud Dye (celebrating International Mud Day); July 24 - Deadly Dish Garden (caring for carnivorous plants), and August 21 - Papyrus Pressing. Sessions are now in-person only, and held 9-9:45 a.m. The per-session fee is $10 per activity kit plus $4 per person (limited capacity), which includes all supplies needed, and also includes admission to the Conservatory.
