Rockford Park District’s Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens invites the public for free guided outdoor garden tours this season. Learn about native and exotic plants on the Conservatory grounds, shade- and sun-loving plants, as well as fun facts and the history of the Conservatory and Sinnissippi Park.
Tours are approximately 1-1½ hours, and depart once a month June-September, 2019 on select dates (weather permitting) at 9:30 am from the Nicholas Conservatory lobby.
Scheduled tour dates for 2019 are Thursdays, June 27, July 25, August 29, and September 26.

Directions: Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens - 1354 N. 2nd St., Rockford, IL 61107 - From I-90: Exit at U.S. 20 Business (E. State St.) and follow Business 20 into Rockford. Turn right on IL 251 and follow it north to the entrance to the Conservatory on the west side of the street. --- From the south: Exit I-39 west on U.S. 20 Bypass to IL 251 (11th St.) Follow IL 251 through town to the entrance to the Conservatory on the west side of the street.
