Pig Minds Comedy Fest: Night 1

Overview
Additional Information

Host Michael Palmenderi is a native of Rockford and currently resides in Chicago. You can see Michael performing all over the city doing stand up, improv, sketch comedy, children's theater, plays, musicals, and singing on trains. He's been doing stand up since 2012 and has performed his act across the Midwest.

Guest Feature Jamie Martin is a local comedy "Jobber" and open mic vagabond you may have seen around the stateline area. Aside from being his mothers favorite comedian, his quick wits and dynamic play on words will leave you in a state of laughter and disbelief.

Main Feature Jason Earl Folks is not going to be okay. Sure, he escaped the mean streets of Laurel, Maryland, to become a beloved and signature voice in the Chicago stand-up scene. That makes sense. His stage presence is hypnotizing, like watching a manic streetside preacher whom you can't help but feel is right about everything but his lifestyle of partying, tracking down Bigfoot, and drinking soup directly from the can is simply baffling. He is not afraid of anything, and he is here for you to learn from the beatings he has received in that process. He is Jason Earl Folks and you should be, too.

Headliner Recently-Married Ricky Gonzalez was raised in Evanston, IL. After his college and semi-pro baseball career, Ricky turned his focus on stand-up comedy. Ricky has since gone on to perform at some of the top comedy venues in the country: Zanies (Chicago, IL); The Improv (Schaumburg, IL); The Comedy Club On State (Madison, WI); Jokes & Notes (Chicago, IL); The Laugh Factory (Chicago, IL); The Comedy Café (Milwaukee, WI); The Comedy Bar (Chicago, IL); and Up Comedy Club (Chicago, IL). Ricky is also, currently, a producer for The Lincoln Lodge and the 'Comedians You Should Know Show' which are two of the most nationally well known and historic showcases in the nation. In 2013, Ricky performed in TBS Just For Laughs Festival in Chicago, IL and also The Traverse City Winter Comedy Arts Festival where he opened for Jeff Garlin, Todd Barry, Pete Holmes, Eddie Pepitone, Ian Edwards, and Judah Friedlander. In June 2016, Ricky released his debut comedy album 'Kid Stuff', which was recorded LIVE at Timothy O'Tooles in Chicago, IL and is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify!
