Get out and enjoy fall at Lockwood’s Pumpkin Fest, Saturdays and Sundays, October 7–29, 2017, plus Columbus Day, October 9, 2017 at Rockford Park District’s scenic Lockwood Park. Hand-pick your pumpkins, ride a pony or a horse, enjoy homemade pumpkin bars, or make your own s’mores. Plus, enjoy games, a corn maze, the haunted corn crib, and more. Lockwood’s Pumpkin Fest features a variety of low-fee activities as well as free activities and entertainment for kids and adults to enjoy. Lockwood Park provides visitors with a country-type experience.

Animal-Related Activities
- Visit the decorated Animal Barn
- Ride a pony in the pony ring
- Take a trail ride (not available Columbus Day); advance reservations strongly recommended. To reserve a time, go to www.lockwoodpark.com, or call 815-987-8809.

Farm Outdoor Fun
- Pick your pumpkin
- Visit the corn maze and haunted corn crib
- Taste seasonal food favorites, and make your own s’mores by the bonfire
- Scavenger hunts – free gift
- Play on the playground
- Take a hike

Rides, Crafts, Activities, and Attractions
- Special park areas including Pumpkin Island, Pumpkin Paradise, Gingerbread Lane, and more!
- Visit the Native American Village
- Experience the I Spy: On the Farm wagon ride
- Variety of themed games and activities, including pumpkin painting, pumpkin launch, pumpkin bowling, and pumpkin toss
- Build your own scarecrow
- Carnival rides and inflatables

Special activities for Columbus Day, October 9, 2017 only
- Free Agricultural Education/Crafts at the Cookhouse, hosted by Winnebago Boone Farm Bureau

- Free entertainment by Mr. Steve at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. (fun, fast-paced show for all ages, featuring audience participation sing-alongs, and more)
- Guess the candy (at the Cookhouse)

Saturdays, October 14 and 28 only
- Pumpkin carving demonstration by Fred Gardner - noon

Saturdays, October 14 and 21 only
- Rasmussen College booth
