This all-Beethoven program features three of the master’s greatest works: the overture from his only opera, Leonore; Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, first performed in 1803; and his third symphony. Pianist Awadagin Pratt, acclaimed for his musical insights and intensely involving performances, brings his talent to the RSO with the performance of Piano Concerto No. 3. Mr Pratt graduated from the Peabody Conservatory of Music where he became the first student in the school's history to receive diplomas in three performance areas - piano, violin, and conducting.
