Rockford Public Library invites you to this event in observance of the Women's Suffrage Centennial and African American History Month. This documentary film "traces the life and legend of the former slave who could neither read nor write, yet earned a reputation as one of the most articulate and outspoken antislavery and women's rights activists."
A discussion, led by Zoe Norwood of RPL and Prof. Paulette Gilbert of RVC, will follow this 1-hour film. No registration is needed.
