Experience a 1918 movie house on Saturday night during The Great War: World War I military reenactment special event. Enjoy a showing of silent films - Buster Keaton's "COPS" and Charlie Chaplin's "THE RINK" - with live accompaniment by the Rockford Wind Ensemble.
Light refreshments will be provided and visitors are encouraged to dress in period costume. The films will be shown in the Museum Center Lakeview Rooms. Purchase admission for this event online, in the Museum’s Gift Shop, or at the event.
Directions: Midway Village Museum - 6799 Guilford Rd., Rockford, IL 61107 - From I-90 and E. State St. (U.S. Business 20): Go west on E. State to Perryville Rd. Turn right (north) on Perryville to Guilford Rd. (about 1 mile). Turn left (west) on Guilford Rd. to museum entrance on south side of street. From the south: I-39 to I-90 (north, toward Wisconsin) and proceed as above. From IL 251 or IL 2 and Business U.S. 20: Go east on Business 20 to Mulford Rd. Turn left (north) on Mulford to Guilford and turn right (east). Look for the signature Millhouse by the entrance gate.
