The City of Rockton invites you to experience winter in all its splendid glory at the Rockton Yeti Fest. Snowshoeing, Ice Skating and shops galore await you. Take in all the fun a Midwestern winter has to offer! During the event you can learn to “Walk Like a Yeti” during the snowshoe portion of the event from 9-12 at Thunder Rock Prairie. Ice Skating will take place in downtown Rockton all day.
Rocktown Adventures will be on hand with adult and children’s snowshoes available for rent ($15 for adults, $5 for youth 12 and under) and will demonstrate a good snowshoe fit, how to select a proper stride, and how to navigate small hills and uneven terrain on snowshoes. So you come for the fun, and walk away with some knowledge. The guided tours will begin at 9 am and 10:30 am. The 10:30 walk will be dog-friendly as snowshoeing is a great human/canine-friendly activity.
To register for the event, visit the Yeti Fest Event Page. Please feel free to give us a call at 815-636-9066 or send an email to email@example.com if you have any questions on what to wear or anything snowshoe related. So grab the kids, grab a buddy, and come out for an authentic winter experience. We hope to see you out on the trail.
