Step into a world of color, flavor, and community at South Main Mercado, Rockford's newest outdoor market that celebrates Rockford’s Latinx community. On June 8, 2025, the South Main corridor will transform into a bustling marketplace where culture and cuisine converge!

- Local Artisans: Shop for handcrafted jewelry, artwork, clothing, and home goods from talented creators showcasing the artistic spirit of Rockford’s Latinx community.
- Culinary Delights: Try diverse food offerings from established restaurants and emerging chefs. From Mexico to Peru, you’ll have plenty of cuisines to choose from!
- Fresh Produce: Buy seasonal produce from local farmers and sample fruits and vegetables from Central and South America.
- Live Entertainment: Expect plenty of performances from musicians, bands, dancers, and other talented artists throughout the day!

The Mercado established itself as a local favorite in its inaugural year, drawing over 5,000 attendees! Now entering its second edition, the market is poised to grow while maintaining its commitment to raising funds for educational programs and community partnerships throughout Rockford.
