The Phantom Regiment is a youth organization dedicated to the development of self-esteem and self-reliance. It encourages team work, sportsmanship, civic pride and contributions of one's personal best to a group effort. These lessons are learned through a musical and marching activity in which there is a blending of the arts and athletics.
The Phantom Regiment combines the complexity and grandeur of timeless music with the clarity and impact of a world-class drum corps and has received many honors, including serving as 1996 Drum Corps International World Champion. The Phantom Regiment is comprised of performers with previous experience as musicians, dancers and color guard members. The schedule is demanding and intense, including multiple winter and spring rehearsal camps followed by a 60-day national tour in the summer.
Rockford Rhythm, a program of Phantom Regiment in cooperation with Rockford Symphony Orchestra and Rockford Public School District 205, strives to provide young students with an education in both percussion and colorguard, working toward the goal of preparing students with the necessary skills and knowledge required to succeed at a higher level.
