The Womanspace labyrinth and gardens are free and open to the public daily during daylight hours. Labyrinths have been used by many spiritual traditions for over 4000 years. Our 11-circuit design is modeled after the Chartres Cathedral labyrinth in France. Its many turns reflect the journey of life, with its change and transition, rites of passage and cycles of nature.
Look for the entrance to the labyrinth at the edge of the woods beginning at the right of the circle drive; follow the ribbon hoops through the woods and out onto the prairie to discover the labyrinth. Allow yourself 20-40 minutes to fully experience the journey to the center and back. Then take the left entrance off the circle drive to reach the Lilly Fernandez Memorial Meditation Garden, an exquisitely lush garden that may invite you to stay for a while. Our Celebration Garden near the front entrance to the main building offers a fountain, more beautiful plantings and shaded seating.
