What are your hobbies or interests?
I brew my own beer, and my wife and I both enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
Favorite restaurant in Rockford?
My new favorite spot is Disco Chicken. The Hot Honey Chicken is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had.
Best place to grab pizza in Rockford?
I grew up on John's and still love it, but we are also a big Lino's family.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone new to Rockford?
You absolutely must go to an IceHogs game. If you have kids, take them to Discovery Center too.

Edward's Apple Orchard

The IceHogs! Also, Stroll on State is a must attend event.

I don't like cheese.
What do you think makes Rockford such a great place to live?
It's affordable, there is plenty to do year-round, there's a lot of local pride, and we're within 60 minutes of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison.

What’s your favorite thing about the Rockford community?
The local pride that I have seen emerge in recent years for the 8-1-5 and being a Rockfordian. I am also impressed with all of the positive changes to downtown and how it has become a real destination for residents and visitors
If you had a free day in Rockford, what would you do?
Read a good book somewhere peaceful like Nicholas Conservatory Gardens and then take a walk or run around the bike path by the river.
