What: GoRockford and The Cherry Bowl are pleased to welcome back the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) 2025 IHSA Girls Bowling State Finals. The event will feature 24 teams competing for the championship, with over 500 spectators expected to attend. The tournament is projected to have an economic impact of nearly $184,432.
Each participating team consists of eight female bowlers. Hononegah and Harlem High Schools are two local high schools competing in the finals. Students from additional local high schools include Sara Legoo of Guilford making her third appearance, Zoee Pavlak of Belvidere North making her second, and Abigail Helsinger of Christian Life competing for the first time. There are 30 bowlers competing in the individual competition, as well as 5 wheelchair bowlers.

Why: The annual event determines the top girls High School bowling teams and individuals in the state of Illinois. “Hosting the IHSA Girls Bowling State Finals in Rockford for over 30 years is a testament to our top facilities and welcoming community,” said Lindsay Arellano, GoRockford Vice President of Sales & Service. “We are thrilled to welcome 24 teams from across the state and cheer on our local bowlers. A big thank you to The Cherry Bowl and our tournament organizers for making this event possible year after year.”
