What:   GoRockford and Rockford Park District are pleased to welcome back North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA) for the 2025 NAFA World Series. Over 1,200 players, coaches and spectators will travel to the region for the men’s tournament. Teams will compete in various divisions based on skill and experience, including AA (elite level), A-Major, A, and a 23U (Under 23) division. Approximately 40 teams will travel from 30 states and at least 6 different countries. This is the third time Rockford has hosted this event, the last time being in 2015. The fast pitch tournament will bring in approximately 1,250 hotel room nights, and an estimated economic impact of $533,000.

International teams are traveling from Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Mexico and Italy. Six of the best local Illinois teams are set to play in the tournament. Teams will pitch at speeds up to 80 mph, equivalent to pitching in Major League Baseball.

This event is one of two NAFA events coming to the region this year. On September 5-7, 2025, NAFA will return for
the Men’s Masters World Series East, also held at MercyHealth Sportscore One. This event will bring players ages 35-80 years old. The tournament will bring an additional $550,540 in economic impact.
