Gretta's Goat

Welcome to Gretta’s Goats – currently offering a wide variety of educational farm classes and events along with seasonal farmstead goat milk cheeses, goat milk soaps, raw honey and pasture raised chicken eggs. Our goats and chickens rotationally graze on organically managed pastures in beautiful Northern Illinois. Gretta’s Goats is a locally crafted artisan soap that is made with moisturizing farm fresh goat milk, organic sustainable vegetable and essential oils. The soap is carefully crafted in small batches utilizing the cold-process method of soap making. Gretta’s dairy goats are milked seasonally and graze on twenty five acres of organically managed pasture at Short Leg Farm. Gretta’s farmstead creamery, apiary and soap workshop is located in the small Midwestern community of Pecatonica, Illinois. Nestled on a hilltop prairie the abundance of wildflowers, prairie grasses, and wildlife provide the inspiration for the natural artisan soap and cheese.
