Overview

Valley Orchard is a 35 acre family-owned orchard with approximately 5,000 apple trees. You have a choice of either picking your own apples or purchasing apples that are picked daily. Also available to pick: raspberries, (both summer and fall), blueberries and blackberries.

The store offers 100% pure apple juice cider made at the orchard, donuts, apple pies, and delicious taffy apples, along with fall decorations, linens, candles, and other unique items for your home. You will find a variety of jams, jellies, salsas, squash, pumpkins, gourds, and much much more.

Orchard tours and field trip activities include a wagon ride, an apple for each child to take home, and an informational talk about the apple orchard and apple sorting. Children can play in the straw pile and in the maze. Call for group pricing and to schedule a time and date.

Directions: From Rockford- 2 miles east of Cherry Valley Mall on US RT. 20 (Harrison), turn right at the Valley Orchard sign and go 1 block. We’re right across the street from the Municipal Building.

From Chicago on I-90 West- Exit Belvidere/Genoa Road, turn right, first left (US Rt. 20), go 5 miles, turn left at Cherry Valley and go 1 block .
