What: The Rockford Convention & Visitors Bureau, (RACVB) Rockford Park District, Ultiworld, and CUT Camps are thrilled to welcome teams from around the country to the High School National Invite. This is the premier high school ultimate frisbee tournament in the United States and is returning to the Rockford region for the first time since 2019.

Over 32 teams will compete in the tournament, including 16 boy’s teams and 16 girl’s teams totaling 640 players.  Teams average 20 players each, with some teams traveling from California, Massachusetts, and Washington. An additional 600 spectators are set to attend, with 500 hotel night stays booked which will bring an estimated economic impact from visitor spending of approximately $223,526 to the Rockford region.

Winners of the Neuqua Knockout, a Midwest Ultimate Frisbee tournament, held at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two on May 4 –5, 2024, were given a bid to compete in this tournament. This will mark the 6th year for the tournament.

We hope the participants can get out and explore and enjoy their time in the Rockford region and we hope the locals can visit the tournament see the great game of ultimate!”

Why: This is by far the highest caliber high school ultimate frisbee tournament of the year. Nearly every top team in America is attending, and every team is ranked within the top 25.

Several teams are participating from the Midwest including Minnesota and Kentucky, however, no Illinois teams qualified.
