Swim Course – 1.2 Miles in the Rock River
The race begins with a 1.2-mile swim in the Rock River, flowing north to south through the center of downtown Rockford. Athletes will enter the water near The Rock Guardians of Rockford, a striking public sculpture by artist Terese Agnew featuring four towering “Rockmen” who stand watch over the city. The swim follows a straight path south, with the finish at Davis Park, where athletes will exit the water and head into the transition area.
Bike Course – 56 Miles of Scenic Countryside
From Davis Park, athletes will begin a 56-mile single-loop bike course that travels through and north of Rockford. Riders will enjoy scenic views of rural farmland, gentle elevation changes, and stretches of peaceful country roads. The course also passes through the Village of Rockton, offering a dose of small-town charm and cheering local supporters.
Run Course – 13.1 Miles Along the Riverfront
The final segment of the race is a two-loop, 13.1-mile run beginning from the transition area at Davis Park. The course takes athletes along both sides of the Rock River, offering continuous views of the water, shaded park trails, and vibrant city energy. The route passes through greenways and local neighborhoods before concluding with a high-energy finish just blocks from transition in downtown Rockford.
