Dog Parks & Outdoor Play Areas
Canine Corners Dog Parks
The Rockford Park District runs three off-leash dog parks that make for a great dog friendly activity on their own. Searls Park is the biggest, 24 fenced acres with wooded trails and open fields that genuinely tire dogs out. Olson Park sits near Rock Cut State Park and has a dog rinsing station on-site. Elliot Park rounds out the options closer to town.
All three are open year-round, dawn to dusk. A day pass or annual tag is required, available online or in park service offices.

Pet-Friendly Patios & Restaurants
Prairie Street Brewing Company
Prairie Street has a dog-friendly patio along the Rock River with good views and solid craft beer. It's a relaxed afternoon kind of place. Dogs stay on the patio; we recommend going on a weekday or earlier in the evening to avoid the busiest periods. Shaded seating is available.
The Olympic Tavern – Pints for Pups
Monday evenings at The Olympic Tavern run Pints for Pups through the summer season, with dogs welcome on the patio. It's a neighborhood bar doing something genuinely good for the local dog community.
Seasonal: May through September.
