Sculptures

CRE8IV: Transformational Art is a community-building, public art program and is part of GoRockford's placemaking and beautification efforts. CRE8IV projects include professional murals and sculptures designed to enrich the region and provide access to museum-quality art for our residents and visitors.

CRE8IV sculptures launched in 2015 with a lease of 5 sculptures from two prominent artists. When the lease ended in 2017, their absence was noticed by the community. In 2018, the program returned and grew to include ten pieces, each being on lease for two years. With the support of the City of Rockford and numerous community sponsors and donors, CRE8IV sculptures now proudly displays 33 pieces throughout the city, reaching main corridors and neighborhoods alike. The collection includes 11 permanently owned pieces and an additional 22 leased pieces that will rotate every two years.
