You know that holiday Hershey Kiss commercial where all the little chocolates act as bells and play "We Wish You a Merry Christmas?" I saw it on TV the other morning. Usually, when I see a holiday promotion in early November, I think it's crazy how people are advertising for the holidays already!

However, this year is different.

Since we are in full preparation mode here at the CVB for Stroll on State, we've been holiday central since the end of October. With all the talk and excitement for the event, I've accepted and embraced the fact that the holiday season is here! (I even tuned in to the holiday XM radio station in my car...willingly!)

I don't know about you, but my favorite holiday memories don't revolve around gifts or tangible things...it revolves around my family and spending time with the people I love. I won't remember what I got for Christmas when I was 11, but I vividly remember the holiday celebrations at my grandparents' house when I was small because it's one of the few times a year I got to see some of my family! An event like Stroll on State is an amazing opportunity to make more holiday memories right here in your hometown.

So I hope to see you out there on November 30 for Stroll on State! If you've seen the activity list on the website, you'll know that there will be plenty of fun things to do and see. (Ice sculpture demonstrations, making s'mores, seeing REAL reindeer??) Check out strollonstate.com for more info!
